Important Information

  • PARENTS AND LEGAL GUARDIANS of all individual registrations must first create an account
    • During the registration process, it will ask the legal guardian or parent to provide the registration information for at least ONE child
  • COACHES of all team registrations must create an account;
    • During the registration process, it will ask the coach to provide the registration information for ONE individual on the team
    • However, once your team registration is complete, you must instruct all your players to agree to the terms and register on this website
  • PAPER REGISTRATIONS will continue to be accepted
  • REFUNDS
    • ALL REFUND REQUESTS must be submitted in writing to H.Y.B.A., Inc., Attn: Refund Request, P.O. 361, Ellicott City, MD 21041. Include your Registration Confirmation #/Number (if registered online), reason for refund, and signature.
    • NO REFUNDS after the registration deadline. All honored refunds are subject to handling and processing fees of $50.00 for individuals and $250.00 for teams.
    • IF YOUR REFUND REQUEST IS APPROVED, we will mail a check to you (regardless of original payment method) minus any applicable handling and processing fees. A refund check will take three (3) to five (5) weeks to process.

Please note the following:
  • The best way to ensure your daughter, son, or team is registered for the Spring or Fall seasons is to register as early as possible.  The Spring season deadline is March 1; and the Fall season deadline is August 1. HYBA makes every possible attempt to place as many young people as possible.

Team Registration Instructions

REGISTERING A TEAM ONLINE
To register a team via ONLINE REGISTRATION, Head Coaches register themselves and one player to complete a team registration.  At time of registration, Head Coaches instruct all parents and legal guardians of all players to agree to all terms and register an account on HYBA.org. Head Coaches submit a FINAL Team Roster to [email protected] at time of registration.

REGISTERING A TEAM VIA ON PAPER / MAIL

  • A check in the amount of $500.00, which covers the registration of the entire team in the Spring or Fall seasons
  • A complete Team Roster mailed in with the registration fee and e-mailed to [email protected]
  • Head Coaches instruct all parents and legal guardians of all players to agree to all terms and register an account on HYBA.org.

ABOUT TEAM ROSTERS
Do not register your team until your roster is complete. Do not instruct your players to register as individu
als. Do not submit a team registration, then pull from those already registered as individuals. Do not continually add players once your Team Roster is submitted. Only those players listed on your roster and with registered accounts on www.hyba.org will be allowed to participate. Not following the previously mentioned guidelines creates an overhead burden against the foundational principles of HYBA. 


ABOUT FORMING A TEAM

  • Teams are composed of, at a minimum, eight players
  • For teams with less than eight players, teams may be assigned additional players from the general registration of the applicable grade division
  • To guarantee league placement of one’s team, teams must be submitted before before the registration deadlines: for the Spring season, the deadline is March 1; and for the Fall season, the deadline is August 1


ABOUT LEAGUE PLACEMENT

Unless special circumstances exist, teams will be placed in the league of their oldest player.  For example, if a team has all high school freshman and one high school sophomore, then the team would automatically be placed in the high school sophomore division. To know if your team is eligible for a special circumstance exception, you must receive oral confirmation from the Director of HYBA at (410)461-7694.


ABOUT COACHES FOR TEAMS

All Head Coaches must be 21 years of age before the start of the Spring or Fall Season. One coach per team at every game must be 21 years of age before the start of the Spring or Fall Season. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE.
